Roland Binz is considered one of the most experienced professionals for crisis communication in Switzerland. Following his law studies at the University of Berne, Roland Binz worked for the renowned daily newspaper “Der Bund” as a court reporter and political editor from 1993 until 2000.
After his six-month assignment as a press and information officer of the Swiss Army within KFOR after the war in Kosovo, he started working for the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) in the field of corporate communication. He gained broad experience in corporate and crisis communication in his capacity as corporate spokesperson and Deputy Head of the Press Office of SBB AG from 2001 until mid-2009.
Roland Binz has contributed his strategic and practical experience to his own consulting firm for crisis and legal communication, public relations and reputation management since June 2009. He cooperates globally with experienced professionals in the field of crisis communication and litigation PR. Roland Binz works as a lecturer for crisis communications and media training at the Swiss Public Relations Institute (SPRI) and is Vice President of the Association For Crisis Communications Switzerland.
